There's No Justification for Driving When You're High, PSA Says

Watching the :60 below, you just know things won’t end well. Some young dude brags that how his driving improves when he smokes weed.

 “I’m more careful,” he says. “More chill. More relaxed. It just helps me focus…”

That’s when grim reality hits him head-on.

A minute later, the guy’s focused for real. But he doesn’t like what he sees. It will haunt him for the rest of his life.

“Too many young men think marijuana doesn’t affect their driving ability or even makes them safer drivers,” Jonathan Morrison,” administrator at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

“That couldn’t be further from the truth. Marijuana slows down a driver’s reaction time and impairs their coordination and judgement. This new PSA reminds motorists that driving high puts us all at risk and can have deadly consequences.”

The work from the Ad Council, Standard Practice and Spark & Riot will run through holiday season via TV, digital, print and OOH.
