Growing up backstage at Sofia’s National Theatre, with an actress mother and director father, Neda’s restless spirit was drawn early to storytelling. Between Moscow, Sofia, and a year in Indiana, her keen observational eye deepened before she honed her craft at Edinburgh College of Art.
At 21, Neda became Bulgaria’s first and only female commercial director. Her work blends intimate emotion with bold, stylized visuals, often casting real families and letting authentic moments unfold naturally. Known for filming in natural light and trusting the subtlety of unscripted truth, her camera reveals beauty in the unvarnished real.
Neda’s films don’t impose. Her films uncover, delivering a perspective that is both deeply feminine and universally human.
